Interesting thought. What if CU’s could be researchable? Higher Q may mean shorter build times or maybe even requiring less materials to build/upgrade? It would hopefully create a possible differentiator for the mass flood of CU’s in the market, while also creating a possible incentive to spend more.

Having quality affect building construction was on the table in the lead-up to the release of construction, and I do think that would be a good thing as it would encourage research of construction materials. As for how quality affects construction, I like the shorter build time idea better as it would be much easier to implement in a balanced way. With requiring less materials to build/upgrade, too small of a boost would do nothing for cheap buildings, while too large of a boost would make production of construction materials OP as quality doesn't increase production cost unless you have to pay more to outsource a higher quality input. As for how to implement shorter build times, I was thinking 10-20% shorter build time per quality of construction materials used. I'm going with a range because I'm not sure how useful 10% per quality would be, but 20% per quality may or may not be too powerful as that would allow instant construction with q5 materials, and q6+ would be useless for construction materials. 15% per quality may be the right balance as that would require q7 for instant construction, and q3 would almost cut the time in half.

What if we would need a higher level of Construction materials for higher-level building?
For example: Q0 = level 1 and 2 buildings Q1 -> LVL 3 Q2 -> LVL 4 Q3 -> LVL 5 and so on

Please don't do that last comment. Would make it too expensive for noobs. Supply and demand would cause the prices to skyrocket
