We have a lot of not so bright bulbs among us that will not understand what you are asking them to vote for, would you like to give a non technical definition of the terms used ? Thank you very much.

How would you implement it in the game? Or is this just a rhetorical question?

I don't think he is going to respond Well, looks like they are going to keep it for themselves. I guess so :/ I really wanted to know what a Circular Economy is

if i understand what he means, it's all about eco-sustainability, lot of you maybe know the Kyoto protocol, part of the protocol is all about the Circular economy and almost all countries are stimulating business to push this. TLDR Production cycle produces wastes, with the circular economy you should be able to re-use these wastes in your production chain instead of dumping it in the ocean Going green could be fun, implement this in the game is a bit more complicate.

And that still doesn`t really explain circular economy...
I`ll try:
Linear economy is: You produce a plastic bag, it goes to waste, is burned, turned to energy and ash. And it can never be a plastic bag again. The long-term effect of this is, what we experience now. Waste everywhere, especially in the ocean.
Better is: Linear economy with "extra steps". Your clothes are bad, you give them away, they are repaired and reused, but are then burned and turned to ash.
Nature doesn`t know the conccept of "waste". Things are reused, and cycles of materials exist (e.g. carbon, water, or nitrogen).
Circular economy is copying, what nature does - infinite recycling. Your glass bottle gets thrown away, is then washed and melted. A glass bottle with the same quality can be produced... Or products get new life, infinitely often, not necessarily as the same product. Take the glass and make a window...
Although I pretty much like the idea of circular economy - I think it is way beyond the scope of our game.

There is no point if I can make one thing that can be reused infinity times. This just end the purpose of manufacturing.
If I remember right, there was a suggestion about breaking up products and reuse the parts. May be it can be looked into again.
For example, a BFR won't sell at q0 due to a newbie made it for experiment. He can then break it apart into OB & SS, then further apart into AS parts for reuse fuse for planes and so on.
Penalty may be quality dropped, additional cost added onto source cost, etc.

I support this one but the food industry took 2 years to launch (late 2019 to summer 2021) so maybe 2 years again for this but only if Patrik sees value here.

Sorry, but it is another wasted topic. Nothing was elaborated on, so what is the thing we are voting on? You should be ashamed for creating such suggestion with no details whatsoever.

I also love a circular economy. Prom the player aspect... if one third of the cycle is under supported.. it will show in higher pricing.
Thus, allowing more players to find a home in that 3rd of the cycle.
Oh edit: Also.. I to believe this update is beyond this game... and requires another... unless this game can handle a world shattering event that makes its current economy structure 1/3 of this update would make it become.

Well there are no goods that you can rationally recycle in this game. You just make product or part that you put together and sell them. I really can't think of a product you could re-use since this is a game from a perspective of producer/retailer and recycling is on consumer side.
