auction. I would like to know when the change to auction buildings is implemented. I want to build a restaurant but I have to demolish my level 15 buildings. Anyone know?

Not sure. We don't often get an ETA for updates unless it's very soon.

AUCTION SUGGESTIONSWith a little discussion on Nov 6, 2021 ingame chat. We learn some few things about how auction mechanics should be. I'd like to suggest to Patrik the following for the Auction House. COSTS:Min Bid = Scrap cost in VWAP Max Bid = No Limit Seller Capped Yield = Total building cost - Fee Don't limit Bidders but the Seller wont receive more than the 'Total building cost', the remaining will be lost to auction house. This way the auction will not become an industry to abuse (build & sell), and but having ability the bidder to win the bid at his cost.
Exceptions: Rigs, mines, quarry, & restaurant: there will be a formula/algorithm for seller's max commission above 'Total building cost' based on their abundance/rating. Please acknowledge the value transferred of prospected 100% rigs and R10 restaurants above their natural cost. Please consider VWAP in minimum bid. or else the seller will just consider to scrap his building than to auction it.VISIBILITY: Seller's Name: Anonymous Bidder's Names: Anonymous Highest Bid Amount: Shown Anonymity provides fairness and anti-launder mechanism. Highest bid is needed to be shown so people wont be post losing bids all the time, that would defeat the purpose of saving time in auction.SLOTS: Posting a Building: will clear its slot Posting a building for auction should clear its slot. otherwise, no one can bid because 'ideally' speaking, no one have empty slots (we are taught to fill them immediately). this will also part of the incentive of auctioning rather than just scraping.
ROBOTS:There is a clear incentive when the building has robots. So i propose to improve the basic formula above. Min Bid = (Scrap cost + Robots Q0) in VWAP Seller Capped Yield = Total building cost + Robots Install Cost - Fee Please let the Robots Install Cost based on VWAP on its proper Quality Category. Including robots in this pricing algorithm isnt unfair since there still no profit in it, this still qualifies as 'reimbursement' level.
FORMULA SUGGESTIONS: Fee = Fee% * [ min( 'Seller Capped Yield', 'Max Bid' ) - 'Min Bid' ] Please let the fee something like this, if you will implement one, in a way that fee will not incur lost below scrap cost. The goal is to make auction still a sensible option than scrapping only.
Restaurant Seller Capped Yield = 'Common Seller Capped Yield' * (1 + 0.01 * 'Rating') This will make restaurants 1% more profitable per rating than common buildings, only if sold more than its 'Total building cost'. Its actually easy to gain rating so this feels just. At most, it will sold 10% profit but its nothing
Prospecting Seller Max Yield = max{ 'Level 1 Cost' * 3^[ (max('Best Abundance',0.95) - 0.95) / 0.05] + 'Min Bid' - 'Level 1 Cost', 'Common Seller Capped Yield' * (1+ [max('Best Abundance', 0.95) - 0.95 ] } Level / Scrap Cost | Total Building Cost | Max Yield for 100% Abund. | 1 | 1 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 7 | 7.7 | 5 | 11 | 12.1 |
The formula means: - There is no incentive selling buildings below 95%. This will avoid the abuse on prospecting industry. - People can sell 100% abundance up to 3x the value of its Level 1 but it will soon diminish up to 10% of 'Total Build Cost' when upgraded. Having to profit up to twice value of L1 building isn't too much. We know its very hard to prospect. Then when upgraded, the incentive will drop to 10% of 'Total Build Cost' only to avoid feeding the building for profit. - the capped yield is exponential from 95% to 100%, producing a result from x1 to x3 capped yield (x1 to x1.1 only for level 4+), respectively, skewing the favor to higher abundance better than having it in linear progression. - if you still think its too much, remember its just the max cap, its not yet guarantee to sell up to that amount.
