Make older executives more valuable by allow them to influence growth rates of younger employees by tagging them as Mentoring/Mentee relationship.
That could make older executives much more valuable than just beyond the normal operations, and add alot more dyanmics to how much you should pay an exec to keep him around.
I.E
Example 1: COO with 20 management skill mentors a 21 yo staff. Staff has shown to have potential in management and thus experiences higher growth rate.
Example 2: COO with 20 management skill mentors 21 yo staff. Staff has shown potential in accounting, but because is mentored by COO, experiences normal accounting growth, with a slightly higher management skill growth rate.
The idea is not to make everyone the same, but allowing innate potential to play a detemining factor and accelerate it if it is present.
