I am aware that there has been a discussion for some time about the imbalance in the bond market, such that the going interest rate was forever 0.5%, thus it didn't price in the riskiness of the bond issuer.
In the recent two weeks it seems that this 0.5% interest rate is no longer viable (as an issuer).
Some in other threads suggest it might be due to recession and lack of cash. I've been through several recessions and haven't had the same experience.
So my question here is what has trigger this?
Could it simply be a sudden critical mass of new players?
Don't get me wrong, I think the bond market needed to become more realistic. I just want to know what changed?
I confess that I don't keep up with all the change logs and other things, so maybe it is me who missed something.
If this continues, I may change my strategy from loading up on bonds in recession for investment and buying back in boom when I am cash flush, as the 0.5% bonds may be too good to give up.

Do you think if the minimum was @1% it would make a differentce? Don't get me wrong I've sold bonds tops @.55. In return I give them a deal on research to balance the deal. How it effects others I really don't know.

Its the long recession combined with the amount of players we have now. Previous recessions (see pic) were during a low player count. The one from November to December of 2019 was 4 weeks; but we were only dealing with 1500 to 2000 active players at that time. The last recession was in early January 2020. Again.. active players was only 2000 or so. Fast forward to this recession. 3 weeks so far and we have 7,000+ active players. Three and half times more players than previous recessions.

Center, finally have something that makes sense to me and with facts behind it. Thank You!
I didn't know it was that specific magnitude of growth. Good for the game!
3.5x the number of players would certainly mean a flood of bonds with all the noobies looking to grow.

Its kinda funny how everything changed over night and the idea came from me looking for investors. Here's how that happened. I was planning on building some research buildings to replace my whole diesel set up. I said something in chat like need help building a research center any help would be appreciated. Got a message from a company asking if I can sell them x research because they want the achievement scientists or know it all which ever one it is. I said you invest and I'll go full research map - aerospace. Then we can work out a good price. They thought me the whole patent value thing. With that I made a price chart were what the exchange did would not effect our contract. Its always going to be below PV so even if you buy one research type for $2 more then exchange you'll save $20 on another. It worked out beautifully. I have a steady contact with one buyer that buys everything I can make. Then when they dont need it anymore I still have a great business model to help others gain the same achievements. It kinda came out of nowhere and that's the best part also I have a purpose now.
