So... lets say your exec gets offered 3x his current earnings, and you let him go. The opposition sees Oh, he's only 22 points in tech, and immediately fires him. Can the exec perhaps request to come back at some kind of +% of either his old salary at your firm, or some -% of the new salary he got while he went to the opposition.
This will be completely optional, so the PA can say: "Remember XXX? He/She left the company for pay YYY, but was let go at company ZZZ, he was inquiring if we might still have a position for him, and was willing to come back at AAA pay."
