The idea is that when issuing bonds, there would be an option to set whether the bonds are meant to be short-term or long-term. This information would be shown just like interest % or rating in the bonds market. This would have only informative character. It would not be binding and the issuer could always change their mind and call the bonds earlier/let them unpaid for longer. This should help bond buyers to decide which bonds to buy since some of the buyers prefer long-term bonds as a way of regular income, whereas some of them rather buy short-term bonds while having some extra money but still deciding where to invest them in the near future to.

I like this. Maybe if short term was payable in 2 weeks. And a long term, which hopefully people could sell for less, would be 4 weeks or 6 or anything?

I don't think we need this. Players can still delay payment of the bonds until they feel like it mimicing a long-term bond
