How is Executive experience calculated (e.g. the COO)?
Is it incremented by a certain number of 24 hour (In Real Life) continuous cycles? Or, can it be accumulated in smaller batches of time?
For example, if I were to switch the current COO with a junior Exec Staff at 7am real time, then switch them back at 4pm, would those 6 hours (9 hours less 3 hours for the change on the front end) of real time (whatever that is in game time) be added to the junior Executive's experience?
The idea is to have that junior Executive get some time in the "hot seat" to pick up some experience, since Senior Execs don't gain much (if any that I recall) experience themselves. Think of it as a "mentorship".
But, to determine if this is even viable, need to know how Executives experience is calculated as earned.
Not that I'd want to do this often, but there are times where I have a long stretch between production/sales orders and might want to switch out an Executive for a Staff and then back again within a day.

This is information we just do not know. Players have spent hours tracking when skills are gained and for the most part they cannot pinpoint what is happening.
Unless someone wants to release their data on what is going on.
I've been helping SkyCo track new hires... but we have no real data on how skills are gained because it is far too random.
