Hey all. I had an idea recently to encourage collaboration inside of the game and basically promote events as well, kind of leading to sparks in activity. The idea is group GO’s, that can last for a duration of up to 6 months. The idea of this is to have a large number of people come together to make specific items for a community GO, covering several sectors if not all. These would not necessarily have a paper reasoning behind them, but if you donate to it you would get compensated at the end of the GO, basically encouraging people on the lower side to supply the needed goods and people on the higher side of the income layout to be able to directly donate. Of course, this would bring the problem of how the lower income layout would be compensated, but due to the insane demand there would be for these items due to the huge quantity of items needed, it would lead to them being compensated upfront, ensuring compensation even if the GO is not fulfilled. Now, I’ll go on and delve deeper into how the mechanics of this would work.

The cost of this GO would be about 4.7B, far surpassing the amount that any one player or even the top 10 combined would be able to find and allocate due to the amount of the items being needed.
Of course, this would be quite hard to meet, but this would be a good challenge for the server to do. It would also be lucrative as well. There would be certain levels of multipliers, making the GO not only profitable, but also desirable to participate in. It would become more lucrative the more you donated as well. This would solve the problem of lower level income businesses not being able to fulfill or partake in the GO process. This would inevitably impact every sector of the economy, encouraging people to ramp up their production. After the 1st GO occurs, there would be a break until the year after, to let the market settle back down before throwing it into pandemonium again. Now, of course it wouldn’t be fair to the main donors if they lose their donations when the $C community is unable to fulfill a community GO (or CGO). So, the alternative to this would be for all the items to be returned back to the respective donors. This would believe it or not also cause ripples in the economy, as it would cause an enormous oversupply, making sure the game stays interesting. The amount of items in the GO can be anywhere from 25 to 45. This would make sure that each sector gets hit by this enormous event. As for the UI of this, it would look like a blend of the GO and contest pages. For the top 30 (and yes there would be certs for top 30 most donated too for more motivation), there would be a contest style layout showing how much $ worth they donated. On the left side, it would also show the items needed, the amount left to donate, and a progress bar showing how much has been donated in total. This would be an effective UI that would allow people to see the community’s progress, and the top 30 donors’ amount too. There would be certain levels of multipliers, and here’s where it would be.
