It would be great if we could just send contracts with a % discount. Like, rather than entering the price manually, we could just type 2% and the contract would go at mp -2% price and the receiver could see that it is below mp -2% as well.

I think that this could be added nicely. However, you would have to do some calculations before sending it, I just guess and check.

I am reluctant to have the game follow the MP. Anyone could just push the price up, and then send contract at -2%. The receiver would then be falsely believe that this is indeed a -2% MP.
I can see followup requests to fix these issues and do some sort of average MP over time, and I do not want to go that direction.
I rather have players agree on fixed price and stick to it. I understand that this is not happening ...

Then, can it only be made such that upon typing 98% the price auto sets to mp-2%, but the receiver doesn't get to know that if the price has been entered manually or by %, it'll still help to people who just send at a certain % discount and the receiver won't be fooled in any way either.

Another issued is: which price is Basis? E.g. you sell 100K Aluminium Q3, you got Market prices: 50K@18.9 / 10K@19 / 30K@19.1 100K@20 .... Do you calculate@18.9? Do you calculate on ...mathematical average? I am just unsure which would fit better-although i Like the idea

And that's what people ask for when they ask for discount on contracts

It’s a nice concept, but I could have my friend blow up the market and send at “2% mp”
