Executives play a big role in the later stages of the game. I see potential in turning "just" search and training into an entire economic section. This idea introduces several new buildings and mechanics to their operation.
It will certainly be necessary to think about the appropriate setting of prices and coefficients and better balanced. My numbers rather reflect my idea of the difference between the buildings.
The options of searching unemployed or with other companies will remain. Searches in schools and at the Job Fair will be new.
For better understanding:
Simeons are Sim Companies residents you may know from the restoration segment, and they want to work in the executive someday.
WRL is the unit of training rate (XP gain). 1 WRL corresponds to the XP gain rate of a graduate in an staff position during training in a Wide range of skills lesson.
Mentor is the player who is responsible for educating Simeons.
Buildings
1 level of each building will keep 1 Simeon.
The school year lasts 2 days.
Simeons are at home without education during rebuilding or upgrades buildings.
Primary school
Educates the youngest Simeons who are slowly developing their talents.
Simeon entry age: 10 years old
XP gain rate: 1 WRL
Cost of Simeon : $5,000 / school year
Simeon must complete 10 school years.
Each Simeon has 0 points upon entry.
Simeons are automatically placed in vacant positions. This happens once a day at a specific time.
University
Educates older Simeons and allows them to specialize.
Simeon entry age: 20 - 39 years old
XP gain rate: 1.5 WRL + 0.2 WRL if specialization
Cost of Simeon: $7,000 / school year
Simeon must complete at least 5 school years of schooling or the remainder by his 40th year upon entry.
Simeon may attend University until age 40.
The University can be specialize in one of Management, Accounting, Communication and Science at any time.
The amount of building materials required to specialize is equal to upgrading 1 level of a building.
Specialization can be canceled at any time and regain building material in an amount equivalent to a 1 building level reduction.
Academy
He intensively specializes Simeons.
Simeon entry age: minimum 30 years
XP gain rate: 2 WRL
Cost of Simeon: $10,000 / school year
The Academy is already specialized and specialization is determined by its type.
Simeon must complete 1 school year upon entry.
Simeon can study at Academy indefinitely.
Agency
Maintains an exclusive contract with Simeons, who can restart their education at any time, or present them at the Job Fair.
Simeon entry age: minimum 20 years old
XP gain rate: 0 WRL
Cost of Simeon: $1000 / per day
Thanks to Agency, Simeons will not end up unemployed.
Simeon can maintain an exclusive contract with Agency indefinitely.
If a mentor wants to present Simeon at a Job Fair, they must allow this option for Simeon at Agency and set a minimum price for offers.
Mechanics
Job Fair
An event that takes place only one day a week.
Players have the opportunity to search among the presented Simeons themselves and submit offers throughout the day.
Each player only sees their offers, not competing offers.
At the end of the event, the Agency Simeons leave for the highest offer.
The mentor is the only one who sees a list of all offers for his Simeons.
Search talents in education
If the player hires an employment agency, he can choose to search the Education sector.
Simeons can receive job offers from the age of 15.
Since educating Simeons do not have a set salary yet, it will be based on a multiple of their highest number of points.
For example, a Simeon with a point of 12 management, 8 accounting, 4 communication and 0 science will require a starting salary of 12 (management) x coefficient.
The coefficient could be 200?
HR
It's nonsense for HR to deliver graduate with minimum points when there will already be more experienced Simeons at the same age. HR should therefore operate in the same way as an employment agency, but free. Because HR is new doing the same thing as a cheap employment agency, the agency is now looking in the top 70 %.
Offers during education
If Simeon is found by HR or an employment agency during education, the player will see how many points Simeon has, what his salary will be (it still may improve) and how much he has to pay the mentor. They must reimburse a multiple of the training costs to date.
The multiple could be 2?
Based on this, the player can send the mentor an offer, which can be higher but not lower. The player will get Simeon as soon as the school year or compulsory schooling is completed.
If there are more than one offer for Simeon, the Simeon will choose the highest offer. The mentor sees all the offers so that he can prepare for new vacancies.
Completion of education
The Primary school and University educate Simeons for a limited time only. After this time, Simeon automatically leaves the mentor and becomes unemployed. This can be prevented by the mentor determining which other building he should continue or which executive position he should take.
If there is no vacancy in the designated building at the time the education is completed, Simeon leaves the mentor and becomes unemployed.
If the executive position is filled, Simeon moves to the vacant staff position.
If there is no staff vacancy, Simeon leaves the mentor and becomes unemployed.
Executives and training
These mechanics remain. The player can still send his executives to lessons to improve their skills.
A player can send a executives to a University / Academy if they have one and improve their skills faster.
He can also send them to Agency. In this case, however, the player pays the executives their current salary. The player has the option to present the executives in Agency at the Job Fair.
