Please add the ability to pause play for an extended period of time. This would allow players with various life circumstances or just burnt out to easier cope with situations.
I believe certain conditions should have to be met in order to avoid negatively affecting other players. These should include all bonds being paid off, all contracts canceled, all items off exchange, ect.
I would like to see certain aspects fully paused to allow a fair restart across industries. This might include mine degradation and so on. That way restart would simply require hiring new executives and ramping back up production.

Some people don’t play one realm altogether. Others just don’t set up anything with their map and have their stuff in warehouse to help keep them good. Also, you can go inactive for up to ten months without your account being deleted.

Also, you can go inactive for up to ten months without your account being deleted. For those using mines, quarries or oil rigs, the time away without a mechanics pause would bankrupt. Their yields would drop despite all other factors, and restart would require a long tedious process of acquiring and upgrading new production across the board. All while taking a 50% hit to the already invested building materials. Other industry builds do not suffer this catastrophic drawback. This could also be fixed by making degradation only occur during plot use. That loss is already suffered while upgrading, so we never get to enjoy a 100% yield at higher levels.

You can earn a return on investment quickly with oil rigs. Keep in mind that it only degrades 1% a month, so a 97% mine in 6 months will still be a serviceable 91%.

A large company with over 100% admin costs, no staff in place, and ~90% abundance is not producing at a gain. That is also assuming every abundance based resource was in the high 90% range to start. When a company has 14 abundance based plots, they have to continually rotate replacement. The real point is, any other industry could hire new staff and be relatively competitive. Abundance based industries are at an inherent disadvantage in this scenario.
