Apologies if this has been asked and answered;
Retail shops.... they have a labor cost of wages per hour. I have a level 3 grocery... it says $453/hr. So... let's say I am selling 250 sausages which will take about an hour. Would I need to subtract $1.82 (per dog cost) from my selling revenue to see profit value? Or does the sales revenue I receive already exclude that labor cost?
Cost of the dogs $2.84 each * 250 = $710.00 Transport is 0.1 * $0.35 * 250 = $8.75 Labor: 1 hr * $453 = $453 ========================== Total costs: $1,171.75 (or, $4.69 per dog)
Selling price per dog: $5.75
So... $5.75 - $4.69 = $1.06 profit per dog.
Do I have that right?
My question revolves around selling labor cost and if it gets thrown in with revenue received, or do I need to subtract it (like I did above).
Thanks team! -Jeffco Research

Never mind, I figured it out. Yes! The selling costs do get subtracted out from the revenue you receive. Not sure why I never noticed this, it's right there on the screen when you list something for sale (shows revenue you will receive).
