Hi, sorry if this has been submited before. I'm just a newbie here so maybe this has been addressed already.
Introduction: in resource info, we can see in resources that can be sold in retail their retail info with retail price and demand, which is very useful to do lots of calculations. But we have no info about changes in exchange price/demand from these resources, and maybe people who have been playing SimCompanies for a long time can remember a little bit how much was the price of a resource a month ago and a year ago, but since I've been playing for less than a week, it's impossible for me to know if the exchange price is high, normal, low or whatever.
The goal: make it easier to know the exchange price of a resource, and with a graph, be able to see if it's a good time to buy/sell depending on the changes in time.
Impact: probably more for beginners, but good for everyone to easily check if the exchange price of a product is going low. It can also help people to speculate with products.
Mechanics: I know a bit of programming so I think the easiest way to make this happen would be:
- To create a graph (just like the graph for retail info) for exchange info
- In Y axis: Date
- In X axis: Exchange price --> I think the easiest way to calculate the price of a day is taking the mean price of products sold (I think this info is already being stored in database so it should be easy to get)
- In X axis: Demand (optional) --> Just taking the amount of products sold in exchange
Maybe you think it's better not to know this, but it's something that you can do (more or less) if you see prices everyday and make your own excel with graphs, and in this way is avalaible for everyone.
And, in my humble opinion, I thinks is quite "easy".
