I think this may be a simple add but I'm not a programmer so I have no idea what it actually would take to add this.
Problem (I am subject to markets swinging all day up and down) like in the real world they do
Solution Implement an auto execute market purchase if possible so I can buy X goods at X price via the market and its auto executed if the price hits that mark.
Say I wanted to buy steel at 10.25 I can go in and input an order for 10.25 that lasts 24 hours and if someone places steel at 10.25 it is auto executed moved to my WH when I place the order my bank balance goes down by 10250 if I wanted to buy 1K of steal so the money is already there if at the end of 24 hours no match was made the money returns to my bank account in the game.

What if hundred players set up auto buy for Steel at 10.25 of total demand 100k steel? And suddenly appears 20k of steel in exchange? Who gets and who don't? In order by time when each player set up auto buy request? Imagine top 50 player sets up auto buy for 500k for 10.24. You will have to wait for a very long time to get your steel. You don't know other player auto buy prices set up and where you are in queue. If you buy manually you can get in front of other players and buy for good price if they are not online. Maybe a notification pops up when your desired price is met in exchange.

well you don't know what place you are in the q for this auto order, and yes you could be waiting a long time for your steel if the top 50 players placed auto buy orders at that price. That's why I said the order lasts for 24 hours, Mainly to be used when you log off waiting for stuff to be produced in your factory but needed something. It may work sometimes, it may not work. If I set an auto buy order up before someone else than I should take that preference in price pending on I have the cash available in bank, and there is a qty available. If I wanted 10K but only 8 was available at that price it would execute but I would only get 8K. I think I like the idea of the notification of price idea where I could set up I want to buy X of X for multiple things and when its listed on the exchange at that price i could buy.

This feels like "botting". Anything that "automatically" buys something for you feels like botting. But aside from that aspect. I'm not sure if the system would honestly be able to handle 9k autobuy prices. Although it would be more like 100k price points for autobuy, as myself and I'm sure most others, would put a min buy proce on every single item

This would avoid issue of unfairly automating a system and could work in essentially the same way as the sellers exchange. If you want say 500 CU at $2.5k, you can post it on the buyers exchange with the cash up front and have it stuck there for a couple of days and be liable for the market fees. The seller can then fill all or part of the order in the same manner as the buyers market. This then gives buyers and sellers three options - buy/sell on contract without fees and negotiated timeframes, goods up front and sellers fees or cash up front and buyers fees. In true market fashion, both parties will balance profit and cashflow to suit their needs.

That idea I like. And I wouldn't be surprised if we see that eventually in the future.
I know it's been suggested quite a few times so it def has some popularity.

I've had a similar idea and am a bit surprised that I find so littel discussions about this as I believe it is a pretty standard process at "real economy" stock and commodity exchanges. The only discussion I find about this is this: simcompanies.proboards.com/thread/2293/improvements-exchange-bids-asksIf you think it feels like botting, that you should ask youself if the current selling orders are not botting as well, as they do the same thing only for selling instead of buying. I would appreciate a system that is like real life exchanges. It should be possible to put buy and sell orders into the same exchange. If there are enough good on the "other side", then the deal is done. I think this would improve gameplay a lot!
