Transport is a part of the game that may be confusing. Making sure you calculate your transport costs correctly can make a big difference in profits. Multiply your units by the Transport number. Exchange is full transport cost. Contracts are half transport. Example: Apples is 1x transport per unit. If you send out 1000 Apples to the exchange it will cost you 1000 Transport If through contract it will cost you 500 Transport You can't send contracts or put anything on the exchange without transport. You know your cost of the Transport cause its in your warehouse! 1000 x transport unit cost (market) 500 x transport unit cost (contracts) Example:1000 x 0.35 = $350.00 500 x 0.35 = $175.00 Exchange:Sell the Apples on the exchange for $2.00 each. 1000 x $2.00 = $2,000.00 Market fee is 3% = $60.00 Transport = $350.00 (full transport) Cost: $410.00 $2,000 - $410.00 = $1,590 revenue Contract:Send the Apples through contract for $2.00 each. 1,000 x $2.00 = $2,000.00 No Market Fee = $0.00 Transport = $175.00 (half transport) Cost: $175.00 $2,000 - $175.00 = $1,825 revenue. Always check the amount of transport needed on each product and do the math!

If a resource says it needs 0.5 transport, it means that if you're going to sell the item through the exchange, do it in multiples of 2 since the game rounds up 0.5 to 1.
If you're selling the same thing through contract, the transport needed is halved, meaning each unit now needs 0.25 transport, so do it in multiples of 4.
If the item needs 0.1 transport, sell it in multiples of 10 when selling through the market, or multiples of 20 through contracts.
That way you don't waste transport units and maximize your profit. All those cents quickly add up if you're starting out!
