As a fisherman I would love to see seafood introduced. Seaport, ship transport, fish, shrimp, lobster. Etc.

Oh wow, what an interesting idea! I know some other players mentioned ships before as a new mechanic to lower transport costs. This would dovetail into that nicely. Seafood sounds like it would be its own industry though. How would we make new food for grocery stores with fruit and fish?

Would it be possible to add seasons? Most of the lucrative nature with lobster and crabs revolves around three main things 1. Difficulty of acquiring 2. Location 3. Very limited seasons
So a person running a seafood industry would rely mostly on tuna, talapia, salmon and shrimp. Then during the "season" crabs and lobster would be available, at the same time. Both being available together would force a choice, and influence market changes. The season would be very short and VARIABLE.(different start date and duration every season) Quality would rely on a percentage chance like a mine, and this would drive up prices to the point of being competitive with electronics and automotive.

That sounds really good, product abundance that is affected drastically by seasons (could be a few weeks each one) and due to that demand and price could change a lot and be unpredictable due to people would always try to wait for the best moment to sell. Definitely, I would like to see something like what you propose with seafood.
Furthermore, I believe that if all kinds of food could expire, the food industry would be more interesting. For example, I go to my warehouse and I see that, among all the q0 apples I have, 55000 were produced day 1/3, 60000 on day 2/3, etc... and, when I sell it, the old ones are the first to be sold. Then, if I don't sell the apples in two weeks (for example) since the day of production, I will lose it.

I believe the expiration idea is cool, but you would lose players quickly. Not everyone logs on every day. And what about vacations? Imagine coming back to 100,000 spoiled apples. See ya!

Well that's true. Maybe giving enough time for that (people use to sell food very fast, just a few people would dare to keep food in Warehouse waiting for a better profit, on that case giving a few weeks would be enough).
On any case, a seasonal system for new kinds of food like you say is something I would like to see in the game as a player and I hope that will be considered by the developer. It's a way to add more complex to the industry like happens with minning and the variable abundance.

If you were to do anything expiry it would probably be best suited to loose a q every 15 days.

That is a great idea. Just as long as I'm not losing an I - q.... 😁
